What are impact gloves?

Impact gloves are a type of personal protective equipment (PPE) designed to prevent hand injuries in occupations where high impact is a risk. It is one of the pieces of personal protective equipment designed to prevent crushing injuries or any other type of injury that a heavy machinery worker is exposed to on their hands.

What's so important about anti-impact gloves?

When you look at a pair of high-impact gloves, you'll notice that the gloves are constructed with a robust and durable outer shell made up of sections of solid rubber material that is affixed to the glove. These rubber segments cover the back of the hand and typically all of the fingers. They are strategically placed to protect the wearer from impacts at the points where they naturally occur.

This impact rubber material is made from a material called TPR, a thermoplastic rubber, which gives the glove its segmented appearance. As well as providing superb high-impact protection, TPR does not restrict hand movement, as the segments allow the hands to move and bend flexibly.
